The Sickle Cell–Liver Transplant Registry (SCLTR) is a 10-year global collaborative initiative (2025–2035) hosted by the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) to address the unique clinical challenges faced by Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) patients undergoing liver transplantation. The project has received full Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval. The data Managed via a secure REDCap database, this multicenter registry uses a three-phase approach incorporating a retrospective baseline, active prospective cohort enrollment, and long-term longitudinal follow-up to analyze patient outcomes, identify key predictors of graft and patient survival, and mitigate sickle cell-related complications. Ultimately, the SCLTR aims to unify international clinical data to establish standardized, evidence-based management guidelines that will improve the quality of life and long-term care for this specialized patient population worldwide.
